The SBBS BluesLovers e-mail list is used exclusively to keep interested parties informed of upcoming blues events in the greater Santa Barbara area. We do NOT give your address out to anybody else. You will be under no obligation what-so-ever from signing up on the list, and you may easily remove yourself from it at any time.
 
Note that the BluesLovers e-mail list is independent of our USPS mailing list. You may sign up for one or the other or both.
 

How To Sign Up To Receive SBBS BluesLovers E-Mail
BluesLovers e-mail list sign-ups are handled automatically. You need to send us two simple e-mail messages (initiation, verification).

STEP 1: For subscription initiation, send a mail message to the address

blueslovers-join@sbblues.org

Use the mail program of your choice (e.g. Outlook, Outlook Express, etc...). The e-mail subject is not of consequence and the message should be empty.

When that message is sent, it will begin the subscription process using the e-mail address of whoever sent the message. A message will be automatically returned from blueslovers-request@sbblues.org with the subject confirm .... and containing instructions on subscription verification. This step prevents hackers from signing up anyone with another e-mail address!

STEP 2: To finalize your subscription, send back (return) the verification

After STEP 1 you should receive an e-mail requesting this verification. Normally all you need to do is respond to that mailing using a "Reply To:" message. You need not enter a subject or any message.

The verification is another e-mail message that you send to

blueslovers-request@sbblues.org

again, typically accomplished by simply replying to the message.

Once this verification message is sent to us, you will be a subscriber to the SBBS BluesLovers list. A final confirmation message will be sent after a brief delay while it is reviewed (we stop ALL spammers).
